Join the 100 greywater challenge (Sonoma County)

Daily Acts is hosting a 100 greywater system challenge! Join them to save water, build community, and get support to reuse a great resource!

Did you know an average family of four uses 5-8 thousand gallons of water annually in their washing machine? 100 families could save over 500,000 thousand gallons of water a year by putting that precious water into their gardens instead of the water treatment plant. Our challenge is to activate Sonoma county residents to install 100 greywater systems, by September 30, 2012. The Cities of Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Cotati, Sonoma and the Town of Windsor are spearheading this challenge to provide additional support for Sonoma County residents who want to save thousands of gallons of water each year.
