I have always been fascinated with the natural world, its patterns, constant change, and the ecological cycles forever keeping a fragile balance. It was from this fascination, and my obsession with simple machines, puzzles, and problem solving, that Greywater Cascadia was born. In 2005 I started working with a “Jack of all Trades” restoring houses in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. It was there I first gained experience in drainage and waste plumbing. In 2007 I moved to Vermont where I studied Sustainable Building and Design at Yestermorrow Design/ Build School. By 2010 I had made my way back home to the west coast, where I completed a Greywater installers Certification course through Greywater Action. I have since installed numerous systems, provided consultation on a variety of projects, and taught several workshops.
I can provide design consultation and guidance in the states of Oregon and Washington. I also am available, and enjoy, teaching classes and leading workshops.
Greywater Solutions provides professional consulting, design, and installation services for all types of greywater irrigation systems. Our approach is to utilize the most simple, reliable, effective, and affordable systems appropriate to each project, installed with care and quality workmanship to ensure long term dependability & effectiveness.
Primarily serving Orange County, and the high-desert & low-desert communities of San Bernardino & Riverside Counties. We can serve other areas on an individual basis by request.
Sierra Living skills offers workshops, consultations, and designs/installations of home scale greywater systems. We use a sustainable and resilient whole systems approach with Permaculture principals when looking at the landscape, integrating food forests, veggie gardens, orchards, water catchment and native drought tolerant plants. We also offer affordable natural building of bath houses and small creative outbuildings that are “alive” and healthy, using onsite resources/repurposed materials whenever possible. We are based out of Nevada County (north east of Sacramento) near Nevada City/ Grass Valley.
I specialize in holistic backyard orchard care, from building the soil life to pruning the canopy, and the irrigation systems in between. I install greywater, rainwater and drip irrigation systems that are all ecological irrigation options for our Southern California dryland ecology. ISA Certified Arborist #WE-10547-A
