Put a bucket under the sink

Put a bucket under the sink after the P trap is disconnected, then sink water will drain directly into the bucket. You can use this to bucket flush the toilet (pour the water directly into the BOWL of the toilet, not the tank), or water plants (if you're using the right soaps).
