(Thousand Oaks) Laundry-to-Landscape Design & Installation Workshop (Free)

15th December 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Save water and time by reusing greywater – the water from your sinks, showers, and washing machines.
Instead of sending it to the sewer, it can be safely and easily redirected to water your yard and garden.  California American Water invites you to discover  more about greywater at upcoming workshops  presented by Greywater Action.

Laundry-to-landscape greywater systems water your landscape each time you do laundry. And you don’t

need a permit. In this workshop, instructors will lead you through the design process. Learn about:

  • How to design and build a system for your home and landscape
  • What parts you’ll need
  • How much greywater you produce and how many plants you can water
  • Plant-friendly soaps and detergents

Bring photographs of your laundry room and landscape as well as a site plan of your yard.

Note: This system cannot send water uphill or irrigate a lawn. Your yard must be flat or downward sloping.

Classes are held at the Palm Garden Hotel,

495 North Ventu Park Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91320

RSVP: Space is limited. To reserve a spot, please call (805) 498-1266 ext. 2816.
