Has anyone tried to divert greywater to deep root locations of 6ft or more? If so, what techniques would you use?

Dig 6 foot hole with post hole digger, fill with gravel and top off with mulch— place outlet shield near hole with its own mulch basin that overflows to hole.

Ive not done this yet but think its such a good idea for watering deep root big shade trees. Thanks Sierra Living Skills for your knowledge and great advise.
