I recently installed a branched drain system for the shower and bath tub drainage of our home (2 adults, no children). We have 6 valve boxes and 7 drainage vaults and a horde of gophers has discovered our greywater system and is proceeding to fill everything with dirt!
Metal mesh screens have not deterred them, as they continue to push their trailings through the screen and fill up the vaults.
Does anyone have any suggestions for discouraging them and motivating them to go elsewhere? Any and all suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks,
Henry

Hi Henry, I would think that maybe adding Cayenne pepper for a bit of time to the area might deter them… These animals tend to hand around and if you “teach” them that it’s no fun over there, then they’ll leave it alone. Just my 2c, not sure it will work for you.

That is easy enough and it might work! Thanks! I think I’ll give it a try. I’ll let you know if it helps.
