Hi. Does anyone have extended experience with redwood trees and grey water from the washing machine? I understand the basics but am concerned since redwoods don’t like reclaimed water. Thank you in advance. Maryanne

The house I grew up in had a redwood grove irrigated with our laundry machine for decades. I have heard of multiple long-term irrigation of redwood trees without any problems (growing healthy, happy trees).
The issue with irrigating with reclaimed water is the high salt and boron content. If you use plant-friendly products in your home you won’t have salt or boron in the water. (Detergents like ECOS, BioPac, Oasis, Vaska, and more are “plant-friendly”.)
