Hey I work at a jam factory,  and we use a decent amount of water,  just to hose down the equipment if we spill on the floor or what have you,  we probably use a lot more then that.  I mean all of us got to wash our hands each time we walk out onto the factory floor in this big foot pedal handwashing contraption.    We have a big grassy field in front of our building, with no trees.  We  currently have some construction going on in the street right next to our factory,  which is something to do with our water system,  I think.  I went to management and thought,  what if we could pump some of our ‘Greywater’ to say water like 15 Trees in our grassy area,  maybe more then that if you threw in some other beneficial natives in the area too.   The trees could also help shade the building.   No one really uses the field,  just some wild rabbits, and maybe one or two of us on a bench at break.   Is this pretty doable?  It’s gonna be a hot summer in Oregon, maybe even more so if Global Warming is going like it seems to be for the last several summers.   I’d feel good about using  our wastewater to get some good CO2 sinking trees going, and help give the bees a chance to have a chance.

How do you make such a thing fly?  I heard you need permits,  I don’t know jack about piping and stuff.   Management I think likes the idea,  they probably don’t want to spend that much money on such an endeavor as Tariffs are probably going to take a hit on profits, but maybe our water bill would go down.   I mean we could put it on our website what we are doing,  I am sure the public would think it was a noble endeavor.  Any thoughts on all of this,   How to make it work, and problems we might face..?

appreciate your thoughts,

pretty new to the greywater arena-
