Hey everyone! I am brand new to this forum and am hoping that someone can give me a bit of advice.

I am creating a contained wetland filtration system in multiple foodgrade plastic barrels and planned on using pond liner as baffles. I need something to attach the liner to the inside of the barrel and I’ve seen people who use bathtubs recommend pond liner tape, but it didn’t work so well for me. Can anyone point me in the direction of a water proof tape that won’t leach toxins into the water? Every product I have come across seems to be focused on functionality solely and completely disregards the environmental concerns.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and in advance for any info you can share. I greatly appreciate it!!

Hi Lorelie,

I don’t know of a specific tape that is non-toxic, but I wonder if you need the baffle at all; what are you trying to accomplish with them? Or, could you just keep a rigid baffle (for example, a section of plastic) in place with the rocks/substrate around them? It won’t matter if a little of the water short-circuits them.

Good luck with your project!
