I live in Los Angeles and am wondering where I can find a diverter valve for a shower system? I found one at a pool store but it was $80, which seemed kind of expensive. Is there somewhere else I should look?

Try ebay, I’ve gotten lucky before. Those 3-way Jandy valve can be expensive new. I was able to buy a few Jandy valves that had been removed from an old pool but still work fine for a fraction of the price online.

Lauren, the discussion on another recent post may relate to your question, but to reiterate a relevant point: there are sites like westsidewholesale.com that sell Pentair & Jandy valves for a lot less than the retail outlet you went to. However, if you’re in a hurry, you may need to look elsewhere than Westside Wholesale. I just happened to order a Pentair 263037 from them last week (30Mar2015), and it’s going to take until the third week of April for it to get delivered! Looks like they don’t have it in stock. I would recommend calling them first: 1-877-998-9378.
And yes, absolutely eBay may have what you need.
