ReUse Water with Greywater!
Learn how to convert your own washing machine into a water-saving laundry-to-landscape greywater system. This system is low in cost, easy to install, and is great for irrigating trees, bushes, and other perennial plants. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn about and participate in the construction and installation of a real laundry-to-landscape greywater system. No prior experience is required.
The workshop will cover:
- Greywater principles
- Best plants to water with greywater
- Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
- Steps, materials, and installation for a simple greywater system from the washing machine
- Installation site is a residence located in Eugene, OR. Address provided after registration.
Please bring your own hats, gloves, water bottles, and sunblock. (Lunch is provided.)
Cost: Sliding-scale $20-$40. Please pay what you are able on this sliding-scale. We also have a few work-trade spots (see ticket info on registration page for details).
