Learn hands-on how to install a laundry-to-landscape system in a Portland yard
About this event
Learn hands-on how to install a simple laundry-to-landscape system in your own home. You will learn how to install a simple three-way valve in your laundry room, connect the pipe from your washing machine to your landscape, and how to prepare your landscape to receive the greywater.
This one-day course includes a short lecture from a sustainable landscape expert and hands-on experience on how to re-purpose your washer effluent water for garden irrigation to save water and money!
The venue is a residential yard in Portland. The location will be provided to course registrants, one week in advance. Please bring a lunch, hat, gloves, reusable water bottle and sunblock. This is an outdoor event but masks may be required/requested, depending on guidance from Multnomah Co Public Health at the time of the event. Registrants will receive further instructions on this closer to the date of the event.
This workshop is generously supported by funding from Portland Water and East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation Districte so cost is just $15-$25 sliding scale.
