Are you interested in saving water and also having a lush, productive landscape? Greywater, gently-used water from sinks, showers, and washing machines, can help your landscape thrive while reducing your water consumption. Instead of sending this water down the drain, learn how you can safely and efficiently reusing it in your own home and landscape. This two week introductory course, Greywater Fundamentals, will provide in-depth information about greywater irrigation.

Time: 5-8 hours total.

Topics include

  • How to use greywater
  • Water savings
  • System costs
  • Health and safety considerations
  • System components
  • Greywater regulations
  • Manufactured systems

Class includes

  • 14 videos
  • Forums to discuss your learning with other participants and instructors
  • Quizzes
  • Certificate of completion
  • (coming soon) Optional add-on class for CEUs through the California Onsite Water Association.
  • Note: This course does not cover construction details or personalized design of your own system. With the information from the class and the resources, you can adapt the information to design your own system.
