(Long Beach) Drought-Proof Your Landscape with Greywater
23rd October 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$5 – $15This workshop is hosted by Long Beach Permaculture Guild
Learn how you can save water and keep your garden green with greywater.
Greywater, water from sinks, showers, and washing machines, is a great source of irrigation and can greatly reduce your outdoor water use. Greywater systems are especially important in times of drought. Come learn about common and popular greywater systems, design considerations, water saving potential, costs, regulations, health and safety, soaps and products, and how to choose a system that is a good match for your home and landscape.
Before the presentation we’ll tour the garden and see a laundry to landscape system on site that irrigates fruit trees.
Tour starting at 6pm
Presentation at 6:45pm
Cost: Sliding-scale $5- $15
Location: 537 Daisy Ave., Long Beach, CA 90802
Presenter: Ty Teissere
Ty specializes in backyard orchard care, from building the soil life to pruning the canopy, and the irrigation systems in between.
