Greywater Tank Size. What is too big and what is too small?
I’m building a Simple Pumped Greywater System and trying to figure out the optimal tank size. I know that I don’t want to store water more the 24h and it continuously needs to move. But I’m also trying to pump water about 150 feet into the landscaping to several basins and need enough of a flow and push to get the water there.
Is a regular sump pump container too small? Or should I go for a 55 gallon or even 100 gallon tank? There will be an average of 80 galllons of water flow each day from the house.
Thanks!!

Hi,
A typical tank size for a system like yours would be 30 to 50 gallons. I would get one in that range that fits into your space.
Good luck with your system!
