I am working on designing a compost toilet that has the waste processed by Black Soldier Fly larvae, that is located indoors, but is connected to the outdoors. My thinking is to be able to sit and use the toilet inside, but then instead of “flushing” you would “push” the material outside where the larvae will process it. I have a fairly good idea where I am going with it, but certainly have some things to test and tweak. I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this, or knew of anyone else that had successfully implemented something similar.

Hi Ken,
So far it doesn’t seem like anyone on this forum has input for you. I’ve heard of a few people using BSF to process humanure, but don’t have any details to share.
Hope your system goes well! And it would be great to hear how it works out after you’ve tried it.
Best wishes,
Laura
