Greetings –
I’m new to the forum. We have a 3 yrs old Aqua2Use GWDD greywater system. We manually clean the filters and inside of tank. The problem is dishing out the water to clean gunk at bottom. It’s hard work. Our greywater system is below ground, so that requires us to lie down, reach inside to scoop water out bowl by bowl, before we get to bottom to sweep up gunk with sponge. If anyone can recommend a siphon pump to make our work easier that’d be appreciated. Are there any inexpensive manual siphon pumps out there that can do the job? Or do I need to buy the more expensive electric ones?
I appreciate any input.
thanks

Hi Carrie,
I would try a cheap hand pump, for a 5 gallon bucket or 55 gallon drum (depending on the size that fits your depth). I don’t think a siphon pump would work since the water is lower than the ground, but it doesn’t seem like there is too much water to pump out, so I would think it would be quick and much easier than bucketing it out.
Good luck with it!
