California H2orticulture Services is a an ecological landscaping and consulting company that specializes in water management. Our mission is to implement sustainable and appropriate solutions to improve water use efficiency in landscape and agricultural irrigation systems. Our staff certifications and affiliations include: Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (Irrigation Association), Monterey Bay Green Gardener Certification Program Instructor, Cabrillo College Irrigation Instructor, Founding member of Central Coast Graywater Alliance, Member of Santa Cruz Live Oak Grange and Santa Cruz County Water Conservation Coalition.
Dan is currently a UC Davis Design MFA student focusing on Industrial Ecology. Since joining the Greywater Action community in 2008, he has designed and installed over 16 greywater systems throughout California in addition to teaching workshops and working on greywater policy. Dan sees greywater systems as an important, hands-on way to augment his architectural and landscape design practice, and for all Californians to become more resilient. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from USC, a Mechatronics Associate degree from Sierra College, and a certificate in Ecological Horticulture from the UC Santa Cruz Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems. Sierra Living skills offers workshops, consultations, and designs/installations of home scale greywater systems.
